- Mr. Harmanjit Nagi, a 1989 Electrical Engineering batch passout from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia has over 23 years of experience and started his professional career with Pertech Computers Limited (PCL), New Delhi as a design engineer for LAN Networking, PCs’ and monitors, after graduating as an Electrical engineer in 1989. He went onto work for 8 years as a research associate at the Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI), where he managed a diverse range of projects introduced by the Ministry of Power and Finance, World Bank, Asian Development bank, USAID, DFID, UNDP, UNEP among others which included energy planning, detailed feasibility studies in generation, transmission and distribution planning, load forecasting, PPAs, energy pricing, energy efficiency etcetera.
- In 1998, he moved onto Electricité de France, as the Business Development Manager for Asia region. Presently, He is the Vice-Director and COO of Electricité de France, India office, and has extensive business development and product development experience in thermal and hydro power generation/transmission/distribution business in India, Vietnam and Laos. His responsibilities also include strategy formulation, capability marketing and developing business plan in Power sector in India and South-East Asia.
- He also has 4 publications to his credit and has presented energy related papers at various conferences sponsored by CII, FICCI and PFC. His credentials include an advanced training on “Finance for decision making” from IIM-B, a Global Leadership development programme at EDF Training school, Paris, a short-term course in Finance from EDF Management school, training on basic load flow techniques at TOULON EDF Development Centre, Paris. He has also participated in a seminar-workshop on Integrated Resource Planning and Demand Side Management, conducted by USETI and on Environmental Manual for Power Development in Manila.
